J5’s vision of “creating a kinder, more beautiful future” was central to the design development of their 3,700 SF tenant improvement in the historic Revillon Boardwalk building in downtown Edmonton. Happiness, well-being, and engagement of both employees and clients within the office set the groundwork for developing a range of spaces to support team activities and strengthen connections.

Early in the planning stages our design team established zones to support J5’s diverse work processes: groupings of workstations to facilitate both individual and collaborative work, small shelter spaces where focused work can be done without distraction, a space for J5 to facilitate workshops with clients, and meeting spaces flexible for both virtual meetings and in-person collaboration. Fixed architecture was strategically designed to allow ultimate flexibility in the furniture, allowing reconfiguration for changing needs.
