Our project team wanted to ensure that SACE’s core values and sensitivity to complex work was evident in the finished space. We placed importance on the agency’s role as a safe place for clients and the responsibility they take in fostering individual healing journeys.

SACE communicated that privacy and security in an approachable environment would be integral to the framework of a successful office; this extended to their diverse client base and a multifaceted team of administrative and clinical staff (registered professionals). The design intent was then focused on facilitating the unique purposes of interdependent roles within a calm and engaging environment.

In consideration of project cost constraints, the design team worked to elevate the floor’s initial layout, maintaining existing office locations and floor finishes where possible. Through informative conversations with the SACE team, Planworks was able to successfully navigate design decisions that seamlessly combined existing elements with new construction and finishes to suit the budget and meet the need for a flexible and fluid office design.
